BASIC DECORATORS ICING 
1 lb. box 10X sugar
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. clear vanilla
1 egg white, room temperature

(The clear vanilla makes icing white, regular vanilla may also be used, but the color will be an almond color.)

Cream shortening, add sugar and cream again, then add milk slowly. Add flavoring and egg white, beat at high speed for 5 minutes. To make even richer, use half butter and half shortening and substitute cream for milk. This should be covered at all times with a damp cloth and when you finish, cover and store in an airtight container and refrigerate. To restore texture later, simply rebeat.
