CHOCOLATE KRAUT CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 2/3 c. shortening 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. cocoa 3 eggs 2 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. water 1/2 c. drained, chopped kraut Sift flour, soda, and baking powder; set aside. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Add vanilla, salt, and cocoa; mix well. Start with flour and add alternately with the water. End with flour. Add the kraut. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan (greased and floured) 35 minutes at 350 degrees. |
