CHOCOLATE - CHERRY CAKE WITH
FUDGE FROSTING
 
1 pkg. devil food cake mix with pudding in mix
2 eggs, well beaten
1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract

Mix all ingredients well with a spoon (don't beat). Mixture will be very thick.

Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 cake pan. Cook at 350 degrees for about 40-45 minutes. Don't overcook!!

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
5 tbsp. butter
1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips

In small pan stir and cook until mixture comes to a boil. Let boil 1 minute, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until chips are melted.
