2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1 c. pecans
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Boil sugar, syrup and water until mixture forms a hard ball when dropped into cold water. Beat egg whites until stiff; then pour syrup mixture into beaten egg whites, beating constantly; when it begins to stiffen, add vanilla. Drop from spoon on oiled paper. Put nuts on top.
