MOTHERS FAVORITE CASSEROLE 
2 tbsp. fat
1 onion, chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 can water (soup can)
1/2 (4 oz.) pkg. uncooked noodles
Salt & pepper to taste
1 lb. can cream style corn
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms (optional)

Saute onion in the fat until yellow, then add meat and cook stirring until it is light brown and crumbly. Add soup, water and noodles. Cook gently until noodles are tender, stirring often. Season to taste and stir in corn and mushrooms. Transfer to a casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Bake 1 hour if dish has been refrigerated.
