LIP-A-DAP (CHOCOLATE SAUCE FOR
ICE CREAM, CAKE, BANANAS, ETC.)
 
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. milk or water
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, cornstarch, and cocoa thoroughly in heavy pan. Add water (or milk if prefer a lighter chocolate taste). Stir and put on medium-high heat until it boils. Lower heat and simmer for 1 minute. Add butter and vanilla and stir. May be microwaved in large quart bowl until boils. Good hot or cold. Excellent over cake and ice cream.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
