1 c. shortening 1 c. butter 1 c. powdered sugar 1 c. white sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar (if you want a real white cookie) Cream shortening, butter, powdered sugar, and white sugar until well blended. Then add 2 eggs and vanilla. Add 3 cups flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar (if used). Roll into balls then into sugar. Press down with end of a glass dipped in sugar. Bake in a pre-heated 325°F oven for 8 to 10 minutes. |
