1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. hot water
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together sugar, butter, egg, milk and cocoa. Sift flour and soda, add with water and vanilla to first mixture. Bake in 9"x13" pan at 350 degrees until done (about 20 minutes). Frost with Chocolate Frosting: 4 tbsp. butter 4 tbsp. milk 3/4 c. chocolate chips

Combine sugar, butter and milk; bring to a boil and cook for 30 seconds. Remove from heat; add chips. Beat until stiff enough to spread and cover brownies.
