BLACKBERRY PUDDING 
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. blackberries
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients together until well blended. Pour into 8 inch square pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven. Cool. Pour vanilla custard over top. Make meringue from 3 egg whites and 1/4 cup sugar. Spread on top of custard and brown in oven.

CUSTARD (VANILLA)
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
3 tsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Scald milk; add beaten egg yolks, sugar and flour. Cook until thick. Add vanilla.
