KARLINA'S APPLE BETTY 
8 c. sliced pared tart apples
1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Dash of salt
1 c. butter

Mound apples in buttered dripping pan; sprinkle with orange juice. Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm with ice cream.
