MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
4 qts. popped popcorn
1 stick butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
10 Kraft caramels
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Put popcorn in a paper bag and leave bag open. Cook butter, sugar, syrup, salt and caramels for 2 minutes on high (microwave); stir and cook for 2 more minutes. Remove mixture from microwave and add soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and stir well until all kernels are covered with mixture.

Put in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes on high; stir. Put in microwave for another 1 1/2 minutes on high; stir. If still sticky, cook for an additional minute on high. Stir to separate. Dry roasted peanuts may be added, if desired. If so, add to the popcorn before adding the caramel mixture.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
