JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
5 apples, peeled & sliced thin 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 1/3 c. sugar, divided 1 c. butter 4 eggs 3 c. flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/3 c. orange juice 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond Mix apples, cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and add to batter. Add juice and extracts. Layer in 10 inch tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. |
