WINTER SAUSAGE SOUP 
2 or 3 lbs. Polish or Italian sausage, skinned and sliced
1 med. onion, sliced
1 c. carrots, sliced
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 c. celery, chopped
3 med. potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 c. cooked green noodles
1/2 c. cooked white noodles
7 c. stock
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp. brown sugar
3 c. shredded cabbage
Salt and pepper to taste

Brown sausage in large pot. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients, except salt, pepper, and cabbage. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 1 hour. Add cabbage and season to taste. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese. Serves 8.
