WINTER SOUP 
2 cans tomato sauce, 16 oz.
1 sm. can tomato paste
4 c. water
2 bay leaves
Salt and pepper to taste
4 whole carrots
4 med. white potatoes
1 can string green beans
1 c. barley
Leftover roast beef or 2 lbs. sausage beef
2 tbsp. beef stock

Add all ingredients into large Dutch oven pan on stove top. Bring to boil for 10 minutes. Reduce to simmer for approximately 4 hours. Stir very frequently. Serve steaming hot with crackers or hot bread.
