APPLE HARVEST TORTE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts

Sift together sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs and vanilla together lightly with fork and add to dry ingredients. Fold in apples and nuts. Put in two 9-inch greased pie plates. Bake 25-30 minutes in 350 degree oven. Top with whipped cream or ice cream. 12 servings.
