CARAMEL BROWNIES | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1/2 c. butter 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 (10 oz.) bag caramel candies 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 3/4 c. chopped nuts Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Put half of this mixture in greased 13 x 9 inch pan; press down. Bake for 6 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Remove slightly baked cake and first sprinkle chocolate chips over cake, then pour melted caramels over the chips. Then crumble remaining cake mixture over this. Bake an additional 15-18 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool, then cut into squares. |
