BLACK PEPPER COOKIES 
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. Crisco
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
8 oz. milk
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 shot glass black pepper

Cream shortening, sift dry ingredients together and add to shortening with milk. Mix thoroughly and roll into small balls. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Yield about 60 cookies.
