1 c. cocoa
1 1/4 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 lb. (1 c.) Crisco
3 beaten eggs
1/2 c. milk

Mix all dry ingredients together. Then cut in Crisco and beaten eggs. Add vanilla and milk. Make small balls of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes on greased cookie sheet.

ICING:

1 c. XXXX sugar
Little milk, to make spreadable
1 tsp. vanilla
