SMOKEY MOUNTAIN BISCUITS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. Crisco
1-1 1/2 buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients five times. Cut in shortening (not too fine). Add buttermilk. Turn onto floured board. Cut into biscuit-size pieces. Grease pan with shortening or bacon grease. Bake in 400 degree preheated oven until lightly golden.
