1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Sift dry ingredients into ungreased 8 x 8 or double and bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Make 3 holes in dry ingredients with finger. In 1 hole put 1 teaspoon vanilla, 2 hole put 6 tablespoons vegetable oil and 3 hole put 1 tablespoon vinegar. Pour 1 cup water over the top and stir. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
