1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
5 tbsp. oil or melted shortening

Put flour, sugar, soda, salt and cocoa in pan. Make 3 holes in mixture. Place vinegar in 1, vanilla in another and oil or melted shortening in the third. Pour 1 cup water over all ingredients and stir together. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
