GRANDMA'S CHOW MEIN | |
1 lb. chow mein meat 3 med. onions, chopped 4 tbsp. soy sauce 1 c. water 1 bunch celery, chopped (remove leaves) 2 tbsp. molasses 2 tbsp. cornstarch (mixed with little water) 1 can bean sprouts, drained 1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained Simmer meat, onions, soy sauce, water and celery until celery is very tender. Add remaining ingredients and continue to simmer 1/2 hour. Serve with chow mein noodles and rice. Serves 4-6. |
