3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. plus 1 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. water
3/4 c. salad oil
3 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar

In large bowl put flour, soda, salt, sugar and cocoa. Stir to mix well. Combine water, oil, vanilla and vinegar. Add all at once to dry ingredients. Beat 3 minutes on high speed. Pour into two 9 inch pans that have been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Frost with favorite frosting.
