NEW ENGLAND OATMEAL BLOSSOMS | |
2 c. butter 2 c. sugar 2 c. brown sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 4 c. flour 5 c. oatmeal (ground fine in blender until powder) 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking soda 3 c. chopped nuts 24 oz. chocolate chips Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together flour, oatmeal, salt and baking soda. Add to first mixture; stir. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Make golf ball size cookies, place 2-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375°F oven for 6 to 9 minutes. Makes 112 cookies. This recipe makes cookies, not pastries and should not be confused with any commercially available product. |
