OVEN - BROILED BARBECUED DOVE | |
3/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. water 1 tbsp. salt 4 tbsp. butter 6 tbsp. ketchup 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. water 8 dove or quail Combine all ingredients, but birds; bring to a boil. Better if made the day before and refrigerated. Put the birds in a baking dish, breast down. Pour sauce over them and broil 6-8 inches from heat in oven 25 minutes. Turn breast up; broil 25 more minutes, basting frequently with sauce. Yield: 4 servings. |
