LOW CALORIE SOUP | |
6 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in 5 c. boiling water 1 onion, chopped 3/4 c. celery, chopped 2 carrots, chopped 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes & juice (cut up tomatoes) 1/4 tsp. minced garlic 1/2 tsp. salt 1 bay leaf 1/2 lb. hamburger 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas Combine liquid from bouillon cubes, onion, celery, carrots, tomaotes and juice and all spices. Cover and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, brown hamburger, drain grease. Add hamburger and peas to soup after the 20 minutes has passed. Cook 10 minutes more or until peas are tender. Discard bay leaf when serving. |
