WHOLE WHEAT ROLLS 
1 pt. milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 pkgs. rapid rise yeast
1 tbsp. salt
6 c. flour
2/3 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. warm water
3 eggs, beaten

Cook milk, whole wheat flour, sugar, and butter on top of stove until thick. Set aside to cool. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add salt and beaten eggs. Then add three cups flour and whole wheat mixture. Beat well. Add three more cups flour. Knead and let rise about 1/2 hour. Shape into rolls and let rise again. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. (Salt may be omitted altogether.) This is a very light roll recipe.
