HUNGARIAN COFFEE CAKE | |
1/4 c. butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/4 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. sour cream 1 1/2 c. chopped cooked prunes OR 1 1/2 c. chopped apricots Cream butter and sugar together, add eggs one at a time, and mix well until with creamed butter and sugar, add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Sift together salt, flour, baking powder, baking soda, add to creamed mixture. Add 1 cup of sour cream. Mix well. Pour 1/2 of batter into well greased Bundt baking pan. Spread fruit over batter, pour rest of batter over fruit. TOPPING: 1/2 c. chopped nuts 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon |
