STUFFED CABBAGE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 egg
3/4 c. rice, uncooked
1 lg. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper
1 can tomato soup
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 head cabbage
Sauerkraut

Core cabbage and put in boiling water, cut leaves apart and cool. Mix sauteed onion and add to meat, rice, salt, pepper, and egg. Take leaf and place meat mixture, roll leaf, tuck in ends. Put loose cabbage in bottom of large pot, put cabbage rolls on top of cabbage, loose cabbage and sauerkraut on top of rolls, add water to cover. Cover with tomato soup and tomato sauce. Cook slowly for 2 1/2 hours.

This is how I've always made my stuffed cabbage. I lay 3 to 5 pork chops on bottom and spoon the sauce over mashed potatoes
