OKRA FRITTERS 
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. curry powder (optional)
1 egg, beaten
1 c. thinly sliced okra
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. chopped fresh tomato
Oil for deep frying

Combine dry ingredients in bowl; mix well. Stir in egg. Fold in vegetables. Drop by tablespoonfuls into hot oil. Deep-fry until golden brown, turning once.
