FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp.soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. fruit cocktail (juice and all)

Mix sugar, eggs, and oil. Sift flour, salt, soda together and add to sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Fold in fruit cocktail and juice last. Bake in flat pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done (tube pan 1 1/2 hours).

ICING:

1 stick butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. canned milk (1 sm. can)

Boil 1 minute. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Pour over hot cake.
