FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 c. fruit cocktail and juice 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/4 c. brown sugar FROSTING: 1 c. butter 1/2 c. canned milk 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. coconut Put in bowl and mix sugar, eggs, salt, flour, soda and fruit cocktail and juice. Pour into baking dish. Put on top of cake before baking chopped nuts and brown sugar. Bake 375, 20-25 minutes. Frosting: Boil butter, milk and sugar for 2 minutes. Add coconut. Mix well. Pour over warm cake. |
