COOKED DRESSING FOR ENDIVE 
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
Sm. amount bacon grease

Suit sugar and vinegar to your taste. Beat eggs, sugar and cornstarch until creamy. Add vinegar and bacon grease and cook until thick. Cook endive until tender. Fry 1 pound bacon and break in small pieces. Pour dressing over drained endive. We like to eat this over mashed potatoes.
