LEMON BARS 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter

Mix the above and press in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned. Mix: 2 c. sugar 1/3 c. lemon juice 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Pour over baked crust and bake 25 minutes. When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar or put a meringue on top.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
6 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of cream of tartar

Beat egg whites until they form peaks. Add sugar. Slowly add salt and cream of tartar. Bake until lightly browned.
