LEMON BREAD 
BREAD:

6 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
Rind of 1 lemon, grated

GLAZE:

Juice of 1 lemon
1/3 c. sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk and lemon rind. For 1 large loaf pan, 4 x 8 1/2 inch, bake 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. For 2 small loaves, 3x6 inch, bake almost as long. Test with a toothpick.

Mix lemon juice and sugar. Pour over bread immediately after baking. Cool in pan(s).
