“LEMON POPPY SEED BREAD” IS IN:

LEMON POPPY SEED BREAD 
2 1/4 cups flour
2 tbsp. poppy seeds
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup butter
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
3 eggs

GLAZE:

1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 tbsp. butter

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Spray the bottom of two loaf pans with non-stick spray or brush with melted butter.

Combine all ingredients in the bowl of an electric mixer and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and pour glaze over warm bread. Cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan.

Makes 2 loaves.
