PORK CHOPS AND CABBAGE | |
5 slices thick bacon, chopped 4-6 boneless center cut pork chops 1 head cabbage, cored, thinly sliced 2 medium onions, sliced 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, sliced 2 cans cream soup (one celery, one chicken) 1 soup can skim milk 1 soup can water Salt and pepper to taste Preheat oven to 350°F. In a skillet, cook bacon till just crisp, remove bacon and set aside. Salt and pepper chops well on both sides. Brown in bacon drippings on medium-high heat on both sides, just till brown. In a large casserole dish, place cabbage, then onion, then apple. Salt and pepper the top of vegetables. In a separate bowl, combine soups, milk and water. Pour over vegetables. Place browned chops on top. Put bacon on the top of everything. Cover and bake one hour. Submitted by: Karen |
