PORK CHOP AND CABBAGE DINNER | |
4 - 5 pork chops 2 tbsp. oil 1 med. onion, sliced 1/2 c. white wine 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 c. shredded cabbage 2 lg. cooking apples cored and sliced 1 tbsp. wine vinegar Apple cider or juice Brown pork chops in oil until brown, remove, cook onions, stir the onions with wine, brown sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Stir in cabbage and apples. Top with meat. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until tender. Add a little apple juice or cider to keep moisture in pan while baking. |
