BAKED CABBAGE 
Head of cabbage
1 c. meduim white sauce
Soft bread crumbs or cubes, buttered

Cook cut up cabbage in boiling salted water, drain (cook until tender). Make white sauce, 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons flour, and 1 cup milk cook for 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Grease casserole with butter. Put in layer of cooked cabbage. Cover with white sauce. Put in another layer of cabbage and white sauce (if you have any left). Put bread crumbs on top. Bake 400 degrees until crumbs are brown. Good served with vinegar.
