GERMAN CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
LEBKUCHEN:

7 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
2 1/4 c. granulated sugar
3 (4 1/2 oz.) cans blanched almonds
7 (4 oz.) jars diced citron, finely chopped
2/3 c. honey
3 tbsp. apricot brandy, sherry or coffee

FROSTING:

2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1/4 c. light cream
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. pistachio nuts, finely chopped
