LASAGNA AL FORNO 
1 lb. lasagna noodles

Cook and set aside in cold water.

FILLING:

1 lb. ricotta cheese
1 lb. hamburger
3/4 c. grated Romano cheese
3 eggs
Pinch salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. oregano

SAUCE:

2 chopped onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 oz. tomato paste
2 (#2 1/2 cans) Italian tomatoes, crushed
6 oz. water
1/2 c. oil
1/4 tsp. oregano
Salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Mix together filling ingredients together well with hands.

Sauce: Heat oil, brown onions and garlic. Add spices and tomatoes. Simmer 1 hour.

Construction: Grate 3/4 cup Romano cheese and 1/2 pound mozzarella. In baking pan, add 1/8 cup water and a little sauce. Layer noodles, meat, sauce, 2 cheeses, repeat and end with noodles, layer of sauce and cheeses. Bake at 375 degrees for 60-70 minutes.
