3 c. sugar
2 c. wine (port, sherry, rose or your choice)
1/3 c. liquid pectin
Measure sugar and wine into top of double boiler. Put over rapidly boiling water, stirring constantly until sugar is completely dissolved (about 5 minutes). Remove quickly from heat but keep liquid over hot water. Stir in pectin until well mixed. If foam forms on top, skim off with metal spoon. Pour quickly into hot sterilized jelly jars or glasses. Seal with lids or paraffin immediately. CAUTION: If paraffin is used it should be melted in a container placed in hot water. Yield: 4 glasses.
