BLACK FOREST CHEESECAKE 
1 box devil's food cake mix
1/3 c. butter
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 c. cherry preserves

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9" round spring form or 9" square pan. Reserve 1 cup dry cake mix. Set aside.

Combine the remaining mix and melted butter. Blend at medium speed until crumbly. Reserve 1/2 cup crumbs for topping. Press crumbs in pan. Spread preserves over crumbs to within 1" of side of pan. Combine 1 cup dry mix, cream cheese, milk, egg and almond flavoring. Blend until smooth. Spread gently over preserves. Sprinkle 1 cup crumbs on top. Cook 30 to 40 minutes. Chill 2 hours before serving.
