HALF AND HALF COOKIES 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. Crisco (do not substitute butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour milk (1/3 c. vinegar to 2/3 c. milk)

Sift first 4 ingredients together. Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat eggs and vanilla and add to creamed mixture. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour milk.

Drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool and spread half of each cookie (flat side) with white frosting and the other half side with chocolate frosting. Makes 20 or more. At Montilio's bakery -- 75 cents each.
