MERINGUE CRUST PIE 
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
12 soda crackers, finely rolled
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. baking powder

Beat egg whites to stiff peaks and gradually add sugar while beating. Stir in nuts, crackers and baking powder. Pour into a well - buttered, 10 inch pie pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. When crust is cool, cover with fresh, unsweetened sliced peaches, or other fruit in season. Cover entire pie with sweetened whipped cream. Chill for 4 to 5 hours. Absolutely yummy!!!
