JOHN'S FAVORITE TASSIES 
1/2 c. butter
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. flour
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Crust: Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese; work in 1 cup flour. Chill 1 hour. Divide into 24 balls on wax paper. Put in tiny tins and shape with thumb.

Filling: Beat 1 egg. Add 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 3/4 cup chopped nuts. Mix well and put into unbaked tart shells. Bake 20 to 25 minutes in 325 degree oven. Nice for Christmas!
