SAUSAGE HORS D'OEUVRES 
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. ice water
1 lb. bulk sausage
1 egg, slightly beaten

Sift together flour, salt. Cut in shortening until dough is texture of corn meal. Sprinkle ice water over mixture and blend gently with a fork until mixed well.

Roll out dough into 12-inch strips. Distribute sausage and roll pastry into long rolls. Brush rolls with egg and bake in 375 degree oven 40 minutes. Cut rolls into bite-size links.
