CARROTS AU GRATIN | |
3 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. onion 3 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 c. milk 1 c. grated American cheese or Mozzarella cheese 4 c. cooked, sliced and well drained carrots 1 tbsp. dry parsley Melt butter and saute onion until tender. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk gradually. Stir until thick and add cheese; let cheese melt. Add carrots and parsley. Put into a 10 x 6 inch greased pan. Top with a little crushed corn flakes that have had a little melted butter added to it. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. |
