BLACK EYED PEAS AND LENTILS 
1/2 lb. black eyed peas
1/2 lb. lentils
1 or 2 lg. onions, chopped
Lg. can crushed tomatoes
Salt
Black pepper
Crushed basil leaves

Soak peas and lentils overnight or for several hours. Combine all ingredients in large pot, and cover with water. Cook for approximately 1 hour, seasoning to taste.
