GALLERY CHOCOLATE CHIP WALNUT
PIE
 
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate pieces
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell, deep dish

In large bowl beat eggs until foamy. Gradually add flour and sugars, mixing until well blended. Stir in butter. Fold in chocolate pieces and walnuts. Pour into unbaked pie shell; bake in 325°F oven for 50 minutes or until pick inserted into center comes out clean. Serve warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Makes 1 (9-inch) pie.

Fell in love with this recipe after my mom made it. I would have given it a 5 star rating but when I tried making it, it did not set. I'm thinking the melted butter should have been slightly cooled before adding. Certainly worth trying again. Much better than the typical chocolate chip pie.
